Miss Gill – has a Masters in Creative Writing from Brunel University and a Bachelors in Creative
Writing and English Literature (with 2:1) from London Metropolitan University. She has attended
many additional courses and classes on a variety of topics to enhance her knowledge base. She
enjoys writing and performing poetry as a spoken word artist.
Teaching Experience
She has been tutoring for the past five years and has worked with a variety of students from all
backgrounds. She worked as a Graduate Assistant at a local Hillingdon high school, where she
received training from exam boards and gained a lot of experience. She received the Literacy
Leadership Award for her ability to assess, plan and prepare a literacy activity, showing great
communication and motivational skills. Having observed teachers, she learnt and developed skills
on how to plan and structure a lesson. She has also worked closely with her peers during A Levels
on courses such as English and History by delivering revision sessions and presenting ideas on
literary texts, articles and academic research.
Tutoring Approach
Her approach to tuition includes a variety of techniques and strategies to help guide and motivate
the learner. She sets personalised targets with the students and their parents in order to achieve
the desired results. This tends to provide a personalised programme that is best suited to individual
needs. She is an enthusiastic teacher and makes learning a fun experience. The format of her
