She has a Masters in Creative Writing from Brunel University and a BA in Creative Writing and English Literature with 2:1 from London Metropolitan University. She has attended many courses and classes on a verity of topics. In her spare time, she enjoys writing and performing poetry as a spoken word artist.
She has been tutoring for the past five years and has worked with a variety of students from all backgrounds. She worked as a Graduate Assistant in a local Hillingdon high school where she received training from exam boards as well lots of experience. She has completed the Literacy Leadership Award, assessing the ability to plan and prepare a literacy activity, showing communication and motivational skills. Having observed teachers, she was taught how to plan and structure a lesson i.e. the starter, an introduction, an interactive main activity and the plenary; how to use verbal and non-verbal communication successfully. She has also worked closely with her peers on A Level courses such as English and History by delivering revision sessions and presenting ideas on literary texts, articles and academic research.
Her approach to tuition includes a variety of techniques and strategies to guide and motivate the learner. She sets personalised targets with the students and their parents in order to achieve the desired results. This intends to provide a personalized programme that is best suited to the individual needs. She is an enthusiastic teacher and makes learning a fun experience.
